Thanks for viewing our listing, please read all the information given! We do our best to honestly and accurately describe all items, but we are only human and it is possible that we may make oversights or errors. We ask that all our buyers give us the chance to discuss any issues. This listing is for a rare, vintage Compur 35 made in Germany by Kodak A.

Nagel-Werk Stuttgart - MADE IN GERMANY. Nagel-Werke in Germany introduced the Nagel 33 in 1928, then the Recomar 33. Kodak bought the company in 1932 and the Recomar was rebadged as a Kodak. The cameras were manufactured until 1939, when World War II shut down production.

This one is branded as a Kodak 35 and comes with two double-sided film holders each with two removable shields. Considerable searching did not come up with another example of this exact model, so perhaps only a few were made before the war.

This camera is in great condition, there is wear to the exterior but all seems to be functional. As always we will leave it in it's original condition so the lucky new owner can decide if & how to get it shining again. The fold-out viewing shield is in excellent condition with an in-tact spring latch holding it shut. The optics are clear and free of any nasties, and no light can be seen through the bellows. It does open and extend, although a bit stiffly, surely a good lube is in order. All the controls work and the shutter activates as expected.

Without the equipment or expertise no further testing was done. The included leather case seems to have done it's job, protecting the camera from what looks like a considerable amount of abuse. The stitching has ripped out along one corner, s. Ome of the liner is torn.

And the lid has completely separated. The strap and latch are in great shape, there is no key What a great deal on a rare piece of vintage equipment!
